Peninsula Digital Solutions

Web development agency and client portal

The agency I run for Bay Area small businesses: websites, hosting, search visibility and ads, plus the custom portal I'm building to run it.

What the agency does

I started building sites for local businesses as a freelancer in December 2023 and formalized the work as Peninsula Digital Solutions in September 2025. Clients get one person who designs the site, writes the code, sets up the domain and hosting, and keeps it running. Clients have included JG Home Improvement, Raja Brands, Zepeda Dog Services and Zaragoza's Construction.

The client portal

Instead of stitching together off-the-shelf agency tools, I'm building my own portal to bring client onboarding, billing and communication into one place.

  • Next.js for the app and the agency's public site, deployed on Vercel.
  • Supabase for Postgres and authentication.
  • Stripe for billing, so the portal never stores card numbers itself.
  • Resend for transactional email.

How I set up client accounts

Every client owns their own domain, hosting and Google accounts. If a client ever moves on, nothing is held hostage. It takes longer to set up, but small businesses can't afford to lose their web presence.

Beyond the code

  • DNS, API keys and cloud hosting for every site.
  • Technical SEO: sitemaps, Search Console indexing and page speed testing on Google Cloud.
  • Google Business Profile management and Google Ads campaigns run from a manager account.
